When it comes to skirts, I always look for some detailing that make them interesting. One trend that I am loving at the moment is asymmetrical hemlines. I wore this skirt yesterday to run a few errands and for a mini date. I love the mixed fabrics (it has cotton, velvet and lace) and the grey colour which makes it easy to wear with almost anything in my wardrobe. I paired it with a teal knit top and low heel wedge sandals. I added my red earrings and a red DIY clutch bag.
I have started increasing the number of skirts in my wardrobe, mostly because I found that they are more flattering than dresses when I want to camouflage my post-baby tummy. I particularly like those that have a slight flare but I do have a good number of pencil skirts.
Would you try out asymmetrical hemlines? Do share in the comments below.
