Monday Stylist

Hi all!
I’ve decided to rename the Monday Stylist feature on the blog to What To Wear To because I realized I needed a name that reflected the meaning of the feature. It will be up on Mondays and upon special request.
It’s October! I love this time of year because the Christmas season, my favorite time of year, is just around the corner. Towards the end of the year, there are very many weddings being held. This means that you might find yourself needing outfits for at least two weddings. The huge question becomes, what does one wear to a wedding?
No Denim
I have watched enough episodes of Wedding Show and Samantha’s Bridal to know that certain outfits are a no-no when it come to appropriate wedding wear. For starters, wearing denim anything should be forbidden or even outlawed. I get so distressed when I see people at weddings wearing denim. Denim is casual even though it can be dressed up. Therefore, avoid it at all costs.
White should be reserved for the bride. It’s her day. Let her stand out in her carefully chosen gown. There are so many other colors that will work right on this day so avoid white as much as you can. Another color that looks too harsh for a wedding is black. Black is very solemn. Reserve it for a funeral or a job interview. Navy blue or dark grey will suit you better.
Another aspect of color to consider is the wedding’s color scheme. It is easy to tell what colors the bridal party will be wearing by simply looking at the colors on your invitation card. If you are still unsure, it doesn’t hurt to call the R.S.V.P number on the card to enquire.

Suitable Outfits
I chose this outfit because of the colors. It is possible to look cheery and festive in other colors that are not white. Each item in the whole outfit can be worn on other occasions. The lace dress is ultra feminine and looks can be toned down with neutral accessories for a day at work. Wedges are the best if you will be on your feet the whole day. They are also suitable for garden weddings.

As I have mentioned, I love when a man is bold enough to step out of his comfort zone. These red pants and bow-tie will look amazing at a wedding since that is one place where you can go all out.
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Monday!!
