OUTFIT DETAILS: Black pencil skirt; Turtle neck, statement necklace; brogue booties |
Happy new month lovelies!!!
With the cold weather being as persistent as it has been the last few days of July, I have been struggling to find smart, warm clothes to wear. This past Sunday was one of those days. Then I remembered that I had a black pencil skirt that had yet to make its debut on the blog. I’ve worn it once before with a peplum top to a job interview. This time, I wore it with a wool turtleneck and pink sweater. I added dark stockings and my favorite brogue booties.
My main issue with the cold weather is avoiding wearing dark colors from head to toe or jeans and a very thick sweater (which has become my stay at home uniform!). I have found a way of countering this temptation. Since I can’t stop wearing my wools when the temperatures dip, I make an effort to buy warm weather clothes that have interesting features like this pink sweater with the flower detail, this orange cowl neck knit top with pockets in the front, or a very colorful scarf. I then try to complete my outfits with cute shoes like these brogue booties or sling back pumps. Then I added extra details like a statement necklace or statement earrings.
