****I’m slowly becoming a health nut for the simple reason that I want to look like my mum when I reach her age. Ok, she’s not that old, but she definitely doesn’t look as old as she is. Maybe it comes with the kind of profession she chose, she’s a teacher, and somebody once told me that teacher’s don’t age. But no matter what it is, I have decided to keep healthy. This is the first post in this new series on the blog. It’ll run every Thursday throughout this month.
My first step is to increase my water intake. I confess, when I lived in India, it was so much easier to drink a lot of water. With extremely high temperatures, who can live without water?? So it became a part of me.
But when I moved back home, I found that with the considerably lower temperatures, I didn’t get as thirsty so I consequently drank less and less water. It got so bad that at times I’d wake up in the middle of the night, with a dry throat with a strange cough. And if you like your sleep you don’t particularly fancy anything that causes you to get out of bed.

With the new month, which also happens to be my birthday month and my blog’s anniversary month (a pure coincidence, by the way) I told myself enough is enough. I don’t want to end up in a hospital with a very painful drip attached to my hand, because I’m suffering from dehydration.

    Good luck!! Take baby steps until you become accustomed to it. I find it easier to remember to drink water if I have a bottle with me at all times.
