If you have been a frequent reader of this blog you know that I only became a fun of jumpsuits after I had my baby. Before that, I hadn’t come across any jumpsuits that I deemed suitable for my body (at the time). So I steered clear of anything that resembled a jumpsuit. I will put the blame on the flimsy fabrics and poor styling that I had been exposed to and of course, my fear of looking ridiculous in what I have since accepted as my super skinny days.
Once I had my daughter, saw my body develop curves I didn’t know I could have and developed a certain level of confidence which I didn’t know I was capable of developing, I ventured out and sought out those trends that I hadn’t been courageous enough to wear. Enter my frenzy for jumpsuits. I am in love!
This one was bought on a whim. I loved the prints and colours particularly because all my other jumpsuits were black and what I consider safe. This one on the other hand was my version of stepping into the unknown and rocking head to toe print.
I styled it with a black jacket (it is cold these days) and black high heel brogues to act as a muted canvas for the printed jumpsuit. I didn’t want anything competing with it so I went for nude make-up and simple black earrings.
