Do you have that one garment (or maybe there are several) that you didn’t love when you first bought but in time you fell in love with it and now you keep it to wear on only special occasions? This skirt is one such item. I bought it shortly after Elly was born but I didn’t get to wear it up until some time last year. And then I fell hard for it. I now keep it for those special days when I want to feel dressed up in my usual smart casual way.
I have wanted to try out shoulder cut-outs, or rather cut-outs of any kind, for the longest time. I just couldn’t get clothes that I loved but this top changed that for me. I bought it to pair with a black leather pencil skirt and my block heel ballerinas but the skirt ended up being too small at the waist so I gave up that idea. I ended up keeping the top waiting for the perfect time to wear it.
I tried both of these together and voila, another of my favourite outfit combinations. My lavender flats, gold loop earrings and a bold lip completed my outfit.
The sun is out in Nairobi so I’m taking advantage to finally wear some of my warmer weather clothes which I had really missed. I can’t wait to share more with you.
