Happy new month lovelies!
I hope you have all been well. It’s been three weeks since I last posted on the blog and I have missed you all! For those of you who follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, you got the news of the arrival of my little angel. On the 11th of March at 11.20p.m. I got to meet my gorgeous baby girl. Little Miss Elly was 3.5kgs. She is now 3 weeks old and growing very fast!
As you can imagine, I’ve been getting used to having a new person in my life. Managing with a baby has been an eye-opener for me. I was so used to doing things in a certain way and at a particular time, having time to do all my cleaning and organizing and running my errands whenever I saw fit, but with a baby around I have been forced to learn how to let go of my control freak ways and just go with the flow. This means that I have to sleep when the baby is asleep (mostly in the daytime) and let go of all the things I want to do (like getting back to blogging and running my shop). For instance, it has taken me three weeks to reorganize my room and I am yet to sort out my wardrobe (for suitable post-maternity clothes. I’ll make a post on this later). My time is divided between feeding the baby, sleeping and eating. By the end of the 24hr day, I find that I have no time for much else.
I won’t lie to you and say that I am having a blissful time because it is difficult having sleepless nights and being tired all the time. But when I look at my little angel first asleep or when she smiles to herself (I always wonder what makes her so happy), I fall in love all over again.
I hope to get back to regular blogging this month. I will definitely share some of my experiences on being a new mother.
I wish you all a good month! Thank you for stopping by.
