When I came back to Nairobi in August, I couldn’t believe how cold it was! I honestly don’t remember it being that cold in August. Anyway, since the clothes I had chosen to carry for this trip home seemed inadequate I went out and picked up some new sweater-tops. They were more colourful than the usual black and grey I’d have gone for to put on in winter. I love pops of colour despite the fact that I’m an avid believer in colour basics. In fact a friend of mine ordered me not to buy any more black clothes because every time we went shopping I’d be attracted to any black item! Despite this I like adding pops of colour to my outfits and the colour-blocking trend really excites me to the point where I’ve decided to include it in my winter wardrobe this year! When paired with my jeans and keeping the rest of my outfit simple they’ve managed to uplift my spirit on an otherwise dull winter day. And another upside to this is I got new winter clothes to put on when I came back to experience winter in India:)
