Blogging Challenge Day 10 | Somewhere I’ve Been
One of the things that is constantly on my bucket list is to travel more. When I think of travelling, it isn’t only limited to going abroad. I am quite happy going to different parts of Kenya and Africa. This reminds me of a trip I took to the Egyptian pyramids way back in 2010. It was a short trip, a day and a night, while we were enroute elsewhere.
This trip was memorable because it was the first time I had been abroad and I remember being so excited. Egypt was hot! But that didn’t dampen my spirits. I was too excited to be seeing one of the wonders the world. (My pics aren’t that great. I was just starting out in photography.) Seeing the massive blocks of stone used to put up the pyramids really made me think, how did the slaves get them to the top? When I think about it now, I am amazed at how much determination and hardwork can achieve. This is a lesson I will carry with me throughout my life and that I will teach my daughter.
When I think of all the trips I have been fortunate to be a part of, not just abroad but in Kenya too, I feel so lucky. This trip to Egypt was God-sent. I didn’t think I would be able to go, mostly because of how much it cost but somehow God made a way and I managed to go. Also, my mum, (who is the most amazing person I know) made sure that I was on that flight.
You might have a desire deep in your heart to travel or to do whatever it is that you are passionate about, my advice to you is don’t give up on it. Your current circumstances might not allow you to pursue your passions but God hears you, He knows the desires deep in your heart and He will grant them to you. Don’t give up on your desires. Keep that flame burning and see what wonders a little faith and hope can work.
Thank you for stopping by.

One of the things I promised myself I would do, ever since this pandemic started and life slowed down, is that I would dress up every single day. Granted, I had nowhere to go, but putting on an outfit, no matter how simple, uplifted my…
