It’s no secret that I am impartial to a bit of black and white. Most of the time, I will pair it with red accessories and a red lip like I did here, but there are times when I try my hand at pairing it with other colours. I came across these black pants by chance. I wasn’t looking for them but they were sitting on top of a pile of trousers which I had been staring at for a while. You can imagine my excitement at finding a pair of chinos in my size, black and at a HUGE bargain. I wore them with this off-white top, my off-white peep-toe wedges and a statement necklace.
One of my resolutions this year is to put a little more effort in my dressing, to wear things that I have been admiring and not be afraid to experiment, much like the style resolutions I shared around this time last year. Thus, I am fighting my tendencies to be lazy and reach for the easiest pieces, read t-shirts and jeans. So I came out of my no shopping cleanse bought a few nice, versatile pieces in the form of skirts, trousers and tops, that I can mix and match to create a variety of outfits.
How are you handling the new year? Have you started working on your resolutions? Are there any style resolutions that you would like advice on?
