I find that when I don’t feel like dressing up too much, I opt for black. There are days when I go for an all black outfit and others when I add bits of red to make the outfit pop. This black pencil skirt is a huge favourite. It was in my pre-baby wardrobe and it now fits, no, it’s even loose! I love, love, love this chiffon blouse and the print is a deviation from standard polka dots, making the blouse a unique piece with loads of personality. My patent leather black Mary-Janes and red belt pulled the whole outfit together.
On another note, It takes a very special someone to motivate you to keep chasing your dreams even when you would rather not. Just yesterday, I was racking my brain trying to find something exciting to write on this old blog and I couldn’t come up with anything that motivated me. Then a good friend from all the way across the ocean asked me how often I update my blog and I must admit, I was a little ashamed to say that I hadn’t been as consistent as I had promised to be. I even admitted that I wanted to stop completely and she almost begged me not to. My sister has also been on my case, asking me why I don’t blog anymore.
I honestly don’t have a good enough excuse. I’ll blame it all on work and my mommy duties, yeah, I think that is a good enough excuse, don’t you? But not blogging leaves me feeling empty inside. Every evening when I go to bed, I feel like I have a blank space inside me, like I have missed an essential part of my day. So today I decided to do something about this lazy streak I have been on and put up a post. Also on Saturday is my 4 year blog anniversary so I wanted to put up something leading up to the day.
