Yesterday was my birthday. I’m a year older and I have refused to think about it, hahaha! But with this new year of life, I have decided on two things. (1) To live in the moment and (2) To stop postponing things that I have been planning to do. I have a nasty habit of holding on to ideas for eternity, waiting for the ideal moment to act and over the years I have noticed that I ended up not doing many of those things that I had longed to do.
For instance, one of the things I have noticed that I delay doing is trying on trends that I love or even wearing my new clothes. I often end up forgetting about them (the new clothes that is) in my closet and wearing them some two months after I bought them because I was waiting for the ideal moment to wear them.
This skirt is a recent acquisition which I am happy to say I have worn a week after I bought it. It’s light-weight denim or chambray. I absolutely love the colour, length and fullness. I paired it with this green striped vest that I had almost forgotten about. I topped it all off with a cropped navy blazer, dark green belt, gold choker and off-white wedges.
