Hello lovelies!
It has just hit me that I am nearing the end of my pregnancy journey and about to embark on motherhood. This fact has become very evident thanks to the dwindling number of clothes that currently fit my 38 week baby bump. I wore this outfit yesterday for a visit to the doctor’s and couldn’t help but marvel at how I have been wearing leggings A LOT these days. They are my go-to stay-at-home clothes choice when worn with dress-tops. And the fact that with pregnancy you tend to feel hotter than other people around you, I couldn’t help but save my jeans for those days when I need something other than a dress to wear while going out.
I bought these blue leggings at the onset of my pregnancy (along with this purple top) and I must confess that I have worn them exactly two times and both times paired with this dress-top. When I consider which clothes I want to keep from these nine months, I think leggings (and these blue ones in particular) will NOT be in that list. I feel like I have overworn them and can’t wait for the chance to wear real pants again. This top is one of those that I bought some time back (three years to be exact) and I’m still in love with it, even though I rarely wear it and its still new. I particularly like the flower detailing on the collar.
My hair is still in that stage where I have no idea what to do with it. I am torn between putting braids and cornrows (i.e. lines for us Kenyans) mostly because I want to put something that will last until after the baby arrives. And seeing as I’m running out of time, my lazy hairdo of tying a scarf on my head needs to be amended. I completed my outfit with black sandals and my trusty handbag.
I do hope you are having a wonderful week.
P.S I am selling maternity clothes. Be sure to check out the goods on Facebook.
Thank you for stopping by.
