I’ve been living in India for a little more than three years and I love Indian food. I’m no expert at cooking Indian food but I am happy to have learnt a new method of cooking.
Last week I made yellow dahl for lunch. I didn’t quite follow a recipe. I had watched someone cook it and just copied them. For those of you unfamiliar with Indian food, dahl are lentils. They come in a variety of colours. I’m yet to do more research on the significance of the colours. But for now I can safely say that I think I’ve mastered the art of cooking yellow dahl. I served it with boiled rice and I it was delicious, if I do say so myself! Here are some pics of the final outcome.
